Search For Drug Treatment
When you do a Google search for drug treatment, a lot of helpful links for services related to rehabilitation show up. The first result is a United States government website for a substance abuse treatment facility locator shows up.
The second result in my Google search for drug treatment was for SoberRecovery.com. I was interested in their link to non-twelve step programs. The link brought up a very comprehensive list of alternatives to twelve step drug treatment programs.
The SoberRecovery.com website offers assistance in a lot of user friendly ways.
If you want drug treatment, this website will steer you in the right direction for finding it.
They even list governmental and professional resources.
Another result in my Google search for drug treatment was drug-rehabs.com. The options for finding a drug treatment center include by population or condition, by facility type, by state and even by drug type.
I did not know that there were drug-specific rehabilitation programs.
I clicked on the link for Marijuana on the main page of drug-rehabs.com.
The drug treatment that is available for marijuana abusers is extremely rare. From what I read on the website, if you abuse marijuana, you more than likely abuse alcohol or another drug and you would need to attend a drug treatment program for that.
There was a website called Drug Abuse Treatment Outcome Studies that showed up in my Google search results for drug treatment.
The Drug Abuse Treatment Outcome Studies (DATOS) project includes the National Institute On Drug Abuse’s third national evaluation of treatment effectiveness for adults.
The results on the DATOS website are based on over 10,000 admissions during 1991-1993 to 96 different community based drug treatment programs in eleven large US cities.
The findings from the research centers at NDRI, TCU, and UCLA are combined with the National Institute On Drug Abuse findings on this large project and are summarized on the website.
